Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Vegetable oil, for frying
Directions:
1- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
2- In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3- Gradually stir in flour mixture until batter is smooth.
4- Heat vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
5- Pour batter into a funnel with a 1/2-inch opening, holding your finger over the opening to prevent batter from flowing out.
6- Position the funnel over the hot oil and release your finger, moving the funnel in a spiral motion to create a spiral-shaped cake.
7- Fry for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
8- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
9- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
